Riverside Resort has many kinds of watercraft for both registered and public guests to get out on the water and have a great time with family and friends. Reserve a spacious pontoon or a small fishing boat for a day or the entire week and make your summer vacation at the lake smooth sailin’. Just need a boat motor or a life jacket? We rent those too. We also have a variety of non-motorized vessels for our guests to use, including canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, and paddleboats. Stop by our office to check availability, and we’ll have you boating, floating, or paddling in no time!

Pontoon rentalsWant to get the whole family out on the water to fish or take a relaxing cruise? Both registered and public guests can rent one of our spacious 18’ to 20’ Weeres or Montego Bay pontoons.
Our pontoons have 40 to 90-hp motors and can carry up to 10 people. They all have depth finders, swim ladders, and sun canopies for a bit of shade. |

Kayaks available for guests
Water sportsWhen at the lake, do as the locals do. Try out a paddleboard or a kayak. Or grab a friend and float the day away in a canoe or a paddle boat. No matter what vessel you choose, you’re sure to make great memories!

Fun fact!Did you know the modern-day pontoon took its maiden voyage right here in Richmond? Back in 1952, Andrew Weeres was a local farmer who wanted to take his family boating on the Horseshoe Chain of Lakes. So he fastened a sturdy wooden platform to welded steel barrels, attached a small outboard motor, developed a simple steering system, and voila! The pontoon was born, and “Mr. Pontoon” cruised right into the Minnesota Marina Hall of Fame.
