Minnesota legend has it that the waters of Minnesota are the handiwork of Paul Bunyan and his blue ox, Babe. These two are mythological heroes of lumbering days. Her lakes are Babe’s footprints. Her rivers the imprint of the giant ox’s tail dragging along behind him.
But there are other legends, far more believable, and far more promising to fishermen on Cedar Island Lake. They are guest’s tales of walleye, bass, channel cat, and tackle-busting northern pike, each one a story measured in superlatives.
